GUEST POST CAT: Top 5 Lip products under £5

From left to right it's Collection's Cream Puff, MUA's Lipstick, Natural Collection's Lipstick and Sleek Pout Polish.

Hello! Heres a lovely post that Cat has done with her favourite lip products! Hope you like it,

Top 5 Lip Products Under £5

I’m a lip product junkie; simple as that. So when Lexie invited me to guest post on her wonderful blog, I knew it was only right that I talk about lip products. ^_^

These are 5 of my favourite lip products in general, it just so happens that they’re all under £5! You can buy them all online from Boots or Superdrug, and if you live in the UK you can buy them in-store. I’m not going to talk about them in any particular order as I love them all pretty much equally, and I would highly recommend them all. J

First up is Burt’s Bees Rejuvenating Acai Berry Lip Balm! This is very favourite lip balm at the moment as it smells gorgeous, is non-greasy and moisturises my lips like no other lip balm.  It’s one of those lip balms that you can’t stop re-applying, even though you can still feel it on your lips.  You can buy this for £3.69 from Boots.

Next is Collection’s Cream Puff Matte Lip Cream! This is a really amazing, unique product as it dries to a matte finish on your lips yet doesn’t dry them out. Wow. A few high-end brands have adopted this idea but Collection’s Cream Puff was the first one to hit the high street, and the cheapest one out there.  I have it in two colours; Cotton Candy and Fairy Cake, a pale pink and a bright coral, and I love them (almost) equally, but Cotton Candy is the one I chose to photograph.  They are amazingly pigmented, easy to apply and look gorgeous on anyone. ^_^ You can buy this for £2.99 in Boots.

Thirdly is MUA’s Lipstick in Shade 4! This is the most basic lipstick, and I truly believe that everyone needs to own it. Seriously. I put this on top of most of my other lip products as it’s a really sheer, shiny, pale pink that brightens up any lip colour. MUA lipsticks are really smooth and moisturising as well, and the fact that they’re only £1 (OMG) makes them even more amazing! You can buy them from Superdrug or the MUA website for £1.

Next up is The Natural Collection’s Lipstick in Berry Blush! To be honest, I love all of the Natural Collection’s lipsticks but I couldn’t take photos of them all so I chose Berry Blush. I think I wear this one the most anyway. J The packaging is nothing to write home about but the product inside is wonderful; so silky, smooth, moisturising and well pigmented, and only for £1.99! There’s a really wide colour range and Boots normally have a 3 for £5 offer on Natural Collection make-up. You can buy these for £1.99 from Boots.

Lastly is Sleek’s Pout Polish in Pink Cadillac! This is really similar to Vaseline’s Rosy Lips but it’s more moisturising so I find myself using this one much more often. It’s basically just a tinted lip balm that hydrates your lips as well as giving them a hint of colour. Pink Cadillac is gorgeous bright pink but it comes in 7 (I think) other colours so there’s one to suit everyone! You can buy this for £4.29 from Superdrug.

I hope you enjoyed this post and got some lip product recommendations from it! You can see my blog over at http://cat-throughacatseyes.blogspot.co.uk
Thanks again, Lexie for letting my guest post here! :D

  1. I have the Creme Puff lip cream and the MUA lipstick too! I love them both but I tend to wear the MUA more because the Creme Puff is quite bright for me, but its very pretty. Love this post ^_^
